- What I Love About My Small Home:
- We love the open and natural feeling of our little apartment (actually, this is the biggest apartment we have ever rented together!). We are fortunate to have lots of large windows, and we painted our rooms light colors so the light bounces off the walls and high ceilings. This way, we are able to rely on daylight for much of our lighting during the day, which helps our plants to grow and keeps the electricity use down! Having a home filled with light and with plants, flowers, and fresh air, is what makes our home the place we love to be. We also love the little details of our "Parlor City" apartment (we live in one of three parts of a large Victorian home in Binghamton, the "Parlor City"), from the old fireplace, to the hardwood floors, to the big old wooden doors-- it reminds us that our tiny apartment is housed in a historical masterpiece!
