When I was young and had my own apartment I occasionally longed for a roommate, but was mostly content to have the place to myself. Now that I'm married with kids my husband and I do our best to give each other child-free time out of the house, but we've only recently tried to incorporate the opposite—giving each other time at home completely alone.
