Paris' bridges are heaving under the weight of love. Starting Monday, city officials will begin removing the thousands of padlocks attached to the Pont des Arts, where the tokens of love are quadruple the load limit of the pedestrian bridge, potentially endangering the boat traffic on the Seine below. The city will eventually place glass panels on the bridge's grates, preventing future locks.
