What I Love About My Small Home:
My home is a great example in repurposing and recycling- it was formerly my garage! The garage was built in 1926 but in 2014 I converted the garage into my tiny home. Now I rent the big house and live in the “garage”.

The bed nook, wall panels and kitchen shelves are made of recycled wood scraps from the dumpster at my boyfriend’s work. The furniture and artwork are vintage mostly found at estate sales and in local listings. The home was designed with the existing garage’s footprint and walls so little was thrown away in the construction phase of the design.

The home is wonderful in all seasons. In the winter it is cozy with the furs, rugs and fireplace, and in the summer I open the doors to the garden. I love watching my kale grow from my dining table.
