- What I Love About My Small Home:
- I love all the natural light and my high ceilings, which together make my apartment feel very spacious. Last year a handyman referred to my apartment as the “penthouse,” which made me smile, but it's true that after some design trial and error I feel I've found a way to live large in a small studio. Since this is the first time I've had a place that's all my own, I have been able to develop my style and make décor choices with complete autonomy. I adore the clean, calm aura that modern monochromatic Scandinavian interiors impart, but I also have a weakness for bright jewel-tone colors and floral prints, so I've tried to make my apartment a happy mix of both. I call this style “floral modern” and I think it balances nicely with the very traditional character of my classic Boston row house apartment building. Best of all, my home is right in the middle of town, which means I'm just steps away from all the fun that the city has to offer!
