Name: Darlene and Lizzy Okpo (pronounced Oh-Poe)
Location: Bedford-Stuyvesant; Brooklyn, New York
Size: Approximately 875 square feet
Years lived in: 3 years
On any given Sunday afternoon, the Okpo home is fluttering with activity while the two sisters, native New Yorkers and close in age, are busy wearing many hats. In addition to being partners with an educational foundation in Zambia, the 14 Plus Foundation, they own their own apparel company, William Okpo (named after their father), and shortly after this interview, they opened their inaugural flagship store in Manhattan. So with such an impressive body of work and inspiration, it is only appropriate that their home would come to represent (and display) tokens of their shared accomplishments and passions.
