A set of sheets can usually get 1-2 weeks worth of use before needing to be laundered, so that gives you time to wash one set while you use the other.

Blankets, duvets, and quilts can go far longer without needing to be washed. Experts suggest that you can get away with washing these just twice a year, which means you don’t need to worry about having a spare set.

Bathroom

The same principle that you rely on for bed sheets, you can use for towels. Each person in your home should have two full sets of towels. A full set of towels includes a bath towel, a hand towel, and a washcloth. Save yourself a bit of time and money and use your towels two or three times before washing. Washing after every use is unnecessary. While one set is in the laundry, put your second set in the bathroom.

For Guests

If you plan on having guests stay in your home, it is considerate to have a special set of linens just for guests. Instead of making them sleep on piled sheets or use a faded towel, keep a set in your linen closet that is dedicated to guest-only use.
